Color On… Together!
Byron and Bob hung the first mosaic panel in the Great Hall today!
Byron and Bob hang Panel 1 in the Great Hall. Jesus walks down the hillside toward the lakeshore.
This afternoon’s efforts were a rewarding pastiche of jocularity, energetic scribbling, a sort of communion of the saints, and an art lesson thrown in. Look and be amused!
Young and old and in-between use colored pencils to color the third panel design. Mid-day, Jesus is talking to the crowd on the lakeshore.
Don’t stop now!
Youngsters left, but middlers and oldsters are still going. Colored pencil is built up and deepened by layer-upon-layer of gentle coloring. Notice the shading that is starting to produce the 3D effect.
Here is a full view of panel three. Jesus speaks while various members of the crowd relax, stretch, and wiggle on the landscape around him.
Two blog posts ago, I mentioned a podcast, the subject matter of which was the social benefit of groups. It is now available online from KUT, so click here to find it. This is what we’re about- making contact, creating a community, and having fun together!
